Here's few things from my "chill out" checklist for when everything starts to get a bit much: ‍ 👉 BREATHE DEEP: When I'm looking for a fast fix I take a few deep breaths. Without getting too scientific, breathing techniques can induce a relaxation response in the body, and when we're feeling overwhelmed, this is exactly what we need! I'm a huge fan of the one-minute breathing exercises from @headspace 👉 BRAIN DUMP: When my brain feels like it has 5,000,000 tabs open, I scribble it all down. This allows me sort through my thoughts, schedule stuff that needs to get done, and let go of things I don't need to stress about 👉 REALITY CHECK: When it feels like everything's piling on top of me, I press pause and reflect on my week's plan. Am I being too ambitious or expecting too much from myself? If yes, I'll break tasks into bite-sized pieces or spread them out a bit more. 👉 DELEGATE: Because sometimes it's best to focus on what you want or need to do while letting others take on the rest! ‍ What are your go-to strategies for handling overwhelm?
